entries will not be seen by anyone directly associated with any

Awards/Scoring: MVC awards will be distributed by place.
16-place scoring will be used
Individual events: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relay events: 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2
Seeding: Swimmers shall be seeded according to this year’s meet
performances. Coaches shall substantiate times with official meet
results if a question arises.
Entry Limitations: Each school may enter 3 participants in the
individual events and 2 teams in each relay. Designate the relay
entries as “A” or “B”, with the “A” team scoring. Each individual
swimmer will be allowed a maximum of 4 events with no more than
2 in individual events. Remember that if the “A” relay gets
disqualified the “B” relay will NOT be allowed to score points. The
“B” relays do count toward the number of events that any individual
may participate.
“A” and “B” relays will be placed in separate heats with “B” relays
swimming first.
Relay entry rules: MVC By-laws state that for each relay, up to 8
swimmers may be listed. Although they are listed, the relay does
not count as an event unless the swimmer actually
competes. Members of both relays may be interchanged.
(By-Law Swimming D, Relay Entries 2)
Actual members in the 200-Medley Relay must be declared thirty
minutes prior to the start of the swimming meet. Changes may only
be made from the list of alternates and must be brought to the
attention of the Starter. Changes in subsequent relays must
be made before the first heat of the previous event and again brought
to the attention of the Starter.

Scratch Meeting: The 11am scratch meeting will begin promptly
in the P & G Room. Please have the enclosed, “scratch/change

the conclusion of the scratch meeting, no lineup adjustments can
be made, all entries become final, and the programs will be set.
Diving Judges: Six coaches will be selected along with the
meet starter to judge diving. The top two scores and the bottom two
scores will be eliminated. The remaining scores will be added and
then multiplied by the degree of difficulty.
Jury of Coaches: A committee of 4 coaches (one from Dubuque,
