Wahawk Athletics

Summer 2008 Highlights:

• Our team has been attending the strength and conditioning this summer on a regular basis.

• June 18 & 19 we had a stunt clinic at West High School; a trainer that was a former ISU cheerleader, owner of I Cheer, taught us the basics of stunting.

• June 28 we held a car wash @ Tires Plus, Cross Roads Mall. We raised $133.00 to donate to the Aplington/Parkesburg cheerleaders.

• July 7-10 we had 14 cheerleaders and 3 coaches attended a Universal Cheerleaders Association cheer camp in Dubuque. We brought home a trophy, spirit sticks and ribbons.

• August 12 the Cheerleaders will be attending a team building / leadership training @ Adventureland. Bus leaves at 6:00 am and returns approximately 11:00 pm.

• This is the first year for the West High Wahawks Cheerleading Booster Club. We have raised over $2,000 is sponsorship money. We would like to thank our sponsors:
