The Waterloo West Boys Soccer Team defeated Cedar Falls in the semifinals of 2A Sub-State action. West scored midway thru the 1st half, while playing with the wind, but came out and controled the ball in the second half despite the direction change. West scored its scond goal with about 12 minutes remaining, and the outcome was never in doubt for the remainder of the game. Alex Frank played a strong game, and had little problem with the Cedar Falls goal scoring chances.

West will play Linn-Mar Thursday nite at the Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Association Complex for the State Tournament bid. West defeated Linn-Mar last week 4-0 at Linn-Mar.
